Childhood Favorites

We have a little game in our house that involves shoes.

Whenever Patrick and I leave the house our shoes are neatly tucked in the closet.  When we come back home the shoes are missing from the closet but can be found throughout the house in some pretty strange locations.

The number one place is the couch:

Balanced just right on the arm:

1 of my sneakers and 1 of Patrick’s sneakers neatly placed together, yet again, on the couch:

Some other spots are under the couch, the bed, kitchen, dirty laundry, middle of the floor … you name it, our shoes have occupied that space.

Either we have a ghost who likes to mess with our shoes or this little guy might have something to do with it:

Good thing he’s cute 😀

Breakfast

I was super hungry when breakfast time rolled around.  I was lucky enough to get my hands on a ham and onion quiche:

I topped it with a healthy dose of hot sauce 🙂  Delicious!

Snack

The quiche must of filled me up because it wasn’t until 3:00 pm that I realized I didn’t eat lunch.  I wasn’t hungry but was craving something chocolatey so I dug into my Valentine candy stash and grabbed a Kit-Kat:

Yummy, chocolatey goodness!

After Work Outing

Patrick really wanted to go to Ceres after word so he could get a cocktail.  I didn’t want to have any booze so I went for the Shirley Temple 😀

And we split some chili cheese and chips:

Dinner

I was so wanting dinner by the time we got home.  Our kitchen is under-stocked so I was forced to eat one of my childhood favorites, Spaghetti – O’s:

I guess it’s not really forced if I bought the can and had been looking forward to eating it all day 😀  Oh well, what can I say, I’m a sucker for some of my childhood favorite meals.

Question:

What is one of your childhood favorite meals?

I was a kid who really freaked out when my mom made cheese ring (basically cheesy bread that was in the shape of a ring). It was our special “Friday” meal.

Quiche is something I’m considering trying to make beforehand and take to work on my weeks like this. Does it keep well over the course of 3 or 4 days?

I’ve actually never made quiche to reheat during the week. But I think it would work perfectly.

You will have to let me know how it turns out if you decide to make it.

My husband and I are always wondering what our dogs do while we are out. Patrick bought a little camera that you put on your dogs collar and it takes pictures every 10 seconds. You plug it into your computer and get snap-shots of what your dog has done all day.
However, our dog didn’t want us to see what he was doing. When we came home the little camera was chewed to bits 😉
